This course provides an overview of event safety, serving as the foundation for the Event Safety Certificate Program. It is designed to introduce students to key concepts and practices in event safety planning and management, with a focus on terminology, stakeholder identification, risk management, and the hierarchy of controls. Students will be introduced to how to identify and manage risks in live event scenarios, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure safe event production.
The Event Safety Certificate Program will launch in Winter 2025.

Note:

First-time offering and opportunity! This inaugural Event Safety class will be offered in-person on November 11-12, 2024 on the USS Midway in San Diego, CA. This precedes the Event Safety Alliance conference to be held in San Diego on November 13-15. Class information, arrival time, ship boarding, parking instructions, etc. will be provided once students are enrolled. To take advantage of a discount to offset parking fees, use the code "parking" when enrolling, to receive $40 off the course fee.
