Design Tech Innovation Programs

Design Tech Innovations Programs

The Innovation Certificate created by Design Tech High School (d.tech @ Oracle) provides teens a unique opportunity to earn a specialized certificate representing their ability to apply design thinking skills to real-world challenges with efficacy. Design thinking is a problem-solving methodology used by designers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and social entrepreneurs. In the Innovation Certificate program, design thinking helps students think about the future and use their imagination and intelligence to find a way to make the world better.

Education Channel

Supported by the Department of Education and Community Outreach at UC San Diego Extended Studies, the Education Channel is a partner to educators, a resource for parents, and a way for students across the lifespan to continue learning and growing. Our evolving lineup of programs is designed to support educational goals and encourage creativity during the pandemic and beyond.

Institute of Reading Development

Books transport you to another world. They spark imagination, inspire creativity, and create connection. Reading can open the door to endless possibilities in the real world, too. In fact, it’s the foundation for success in school—and in life. At the Institute of Reading Development, we know that avid readers are often more eager to learn, stronger problem solvers, and more effective communicators. We also know that parents want nothing more than the best future for their children. That’s why we go beyond teaching the right reading skills at the right developmental stage. Our programs provide a supportive environment where kids can build their confidence and ultimately a love for reading. Because when you love to read, you really can go anywhere.
