New law ensures safety training for live event workers at city-owned venues and parks

SAN DIEGO — Today, the San Diego City Council took a major step to protect live event workers by unanimously passing an ordinance requiring live event vendors operating at City-owned facilities and parks to certify that workers handling complex event setups have completed standardized safety training.
