Trainer Course - Trenching

Gain the knowledge and skills to instruct a Trenching and Excavation Competent Person class within your organization. This course reviews the Federal and State OSHA requirements for excavation and trenching activities.

Emphasis will be placed on training techniques, prevention strategies and practices such as inspections, permitting procedures, soil analysis, and competent person responsibilities.


Recommended Prerequisite: OSHA 3015 or have sufficient Trenching and Excavation Competent Person experience/training to be considered competent in the subject.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

The course will cover advanced Trenching issues, teaching, resources, instructional methodology and points on how to jazz up your presentation.

Students will be required to give a fifteen minute presentation for evaluation by other students and the instructor for passing this class.

If possible bring laptop, material and equipment for class presentation.
