Improve Performance, Enhance Quality, Reduce Costs

Lean Six Sigma (LSS) provides a systematic method to improve performance and reduce variation in business operations to achieve productivity and profitability gains. Students earn various colors of Belts which indicate their levels of mastery of LSS expertise. A person who has earned the designation of Lean Six Sigma Green Belt often plays a key role in the success of an organization’s process improvement initiatives.

As a member or leader of a high-performing LSS project team, the Green Belt is involved in selecting or defining projects, setting project objectives, data gathering, statistical analysis, and change implementation. To function effectively, Green Belts need to understand and apply the basic LSS concepts, tools, and methodologies in a variety of situations. This course is designed to educate those who wish to attain the level of Green Belt.

Project-Based VS Case-Study

Students can select whether to apply the tools to a Case Study that is provided, or a real process (project) brought in from their organization. Students who do not have a prjoect can team up with fellow students in the Live Online or In-class format.

The project-based class is 6 weeks longer to allow application, and includes coaching and mentorship from Master Black Belt Instructors. Both trainings provide an LSS Green Belt, however, only those who complete the Project-Based training are immediately eligible to progress into LSS Black Belt

Would you like to gain experience and complete a project? Select the Project-Based training below, tution is $2,595.

Project-Based Training (2,595)

  • For those who are able to do so, we strongly recommend applying the learning to improve a real process. Students can either bring in a process improvement project from their work location, or team up with fellow students to complete a group project. Unless students already work together, group projects are only permitted in the Live Online or In-Class formats.  Students who want to receive coaching and mentorhsip, and later progress into the LSS Black Belt, should select project-based training.
Case Study Training  ($2,095)

  • Students who do not wish to apply the tools to a real project can select the 'Case Study' course. This class does not include the same level of coaching and mentorship; however, students will obtain an excellent understanding of the process improvement framework and can put the tools into action. Students who take this course will receive the same number of units, but may not be elegible to progress into the LSS Black Belt.
