Acting Workshops

For any members interested in participating in the Theater World performances, these workshops will develop new skills and improve on previous acting and directing experience. They are also great opportunities to meet fellow actors and strengthen the relationships with others who enjoy entertaining our Osher members.
All Workshops will be in-person only in Classroom 360.

April 6: 1:00–3:00 p.m. Working with a Director
Sign up as a director OR an actor. Actors will be divided into groups; each director will work on a very short play with a group. No experience necessary, but registration is necessary. Sign-up by emailing olli@ucsd.edu with your choice of Actor or Director no later than 3pm Friday, April 3.

May 13: 1:00-3:00 p.m. An Interactive Playwriting Adventure!
This will be the first of three fun-filled workshops (the two others will be scheduled for Fall and Winter 2026/27) in which you will create traditional or experimental work for the stage under the guidance of Katie Keller, a member of Osher and San Diego’s Playwright’s Project. Your new plays will be produced and performed in Spring 2027. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary.
