Inventing and Patent Creation

High School
High school students in grades 9-12 can explore their passions with workshops in cutting-edge fields like AI, robotics, space exploration, epidemiology, digital media, marine biology, and sustainability, all designed to inspire and prepare them for future STEAM careers.

- Parents/guardians, if you are enrolling multiple students into the program, please create separate accounts for each student, and ensure you are logged into each student's account when processing enrollment.

Students born after 2017 must have a parent or guardian complete registration on their behalf. Please note: The parent or guardian must register using their own account and enroll themselves in the course to complete the student’s registration.

You will be directed to the course landing page. Click "add to cart" to add course offering to your shopping cart.
Return to the Sally Ride Science Academy page and repeat as needed to enroll in multiple courses.
Complete the authorization form for each enrolled student.

FERPA Policies
Students have the right to authorize additional individuals to have access to their education record. Students may authorize, in writing, someone else to have access to view and/or update their education record. Students who wish to authorize the release of records to other individuals should complete and submit the FERPA Release form.
The completed FERPA Release form should be submitted to UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies Student Services:
