Spanish for Communication V
LASP-40005
Level V Participants progress to a higher comfort level of speaking Spanish. Conversation topics include professions and technology used in the work place, house and furnishings, sports, wellness, and injuries. Actively using Spanish in a learner-centered environment, participants not only improve their communication skills, but also expand their cultural understanding of the Spanish-speaking world learning about different Hispanic countries. Students will learn commands, present perfect and present progressive. Textbook chapters 10, 11, and half of chapter 12 are covered.

Instructor: Maria Ramirez-Lopez
Her passion for teaching Spanish began during her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University, where she initially enrolled in Hispanic Literature courses to fulfill her world languages requirement. This experience inspired her to change her major to Spanish, with a minor in History. Originally, she was studying Business Administration and earned an Associate Degree in Accounting from Southwestern College.
Throughout her teaching career, Maria has encountered a diverse range of learning styles. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes creating a productive and engaging learning environment by employing various techniques, methods, and materials that foster a sense of belonging among students.
