Although emphasis is placed on the note-taking process and developing a personalized note-taking system, students will also learn effective techniques to deliver the notes they have taken.

Kathy Figueroa teaches Consecutive Interpretation, Simultenous Intepretation, Theory & Practice of Interpretation, and Introduction to Translation for the Translation certificate and Translation & Interpretation certificate programs. 

Kathy is a Certified Healthcare Interpreter™ through the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters. Currently working as a translator and interpreter for the San Diego Unified School District, she has been an interpreter/translator since 2002 and an educator since 1994.
