Instruction presents interesting and significant court cases for discussion, emphasizing a practical approach to understanding contracts. Topics include all major areas of contracts, including offer, acceptance, consideration, statute of frauds, third-party beneficiaries, performance, breach of contract and damages.

Jamie Townsend, Esq

Ms. Jamie Townsend is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School. While in law school, she served as an editor on the law review and was an Olin Student Fellow in law and economics. 

After graduating she worked at a boutique intellectual property law firm in Los Angeles before teaching law school for several years, including teaching on the topic of business organizations at Western State College of Law. She has written extensively in the areas of intellectual property and the changing application of law to modern media.

Ms. Townsend currently practices in the field of transactional corporate law specializing in small to medium businesses, intellectual property, general business litigation and employment law. 

 She is passionate about the First Amendment and about teaching.
