Paralegal Supervisor, 20 years San Diego County Public Defenders Office; CA Licensed Private Investigator

Clifton Emison is a paralegal supervisor for the San Diego County Office of the Primary Public Defender. He has worked for that office in various capacities for the last twenty two years. In addition to his duties at the Public Defender’s office, he has spent the last eleven years teaching criminal justice and paralegal studies courses at various colleges and universities. Additionally, Mr. Emison spends time honing his skills as a CA licensed private investigator.

Mr. Emison’s practical work experience is augmented by his formal education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of New Mexico, a Master’s of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Kaplan University and a Juris Doctor degree from National University School of Law. In his spare time, Mr. Emison enjoys reading, fine dining, all things criminal justice and spending time with his lovely wife.
