Computer Essentials for the Legal Professional

Computer Essentials for the Legal Professional is designed to familiarize students with computer software applications used in the law firm setting. Students will learn fundamental concepts of word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe Professional, billing, and database software. Students will also use Internet-based applications, working with email, and learning how to browse the web for case-related matters.

No course prerequisites are required, however, working knowledge of Windows-based applications is recommended. Mac users please be aware that you will experience formatting issues when converting from a Mac to a PC.

June Hunter
June Hunter is a Paralegal and an IT Support Services Specialist at CGS3. As a graduate of the ABA Approved Paralegal Certificate program at UC San Diego, June has worked in the legal field in various capacities for the last 28 years.  Her diverse computer knowledge and legal background as both a working paralegal and computer software trainer have resulted in her being sought out for her ability to provide clear, hands-on training to other legal professionals in how to effectively utilize the software prominently used in the legal field. 

June is currently on the Board for the San Diego Paralegal Association, volunteers as a Paralegal Mentor for the San Diego Paralegal Association and is an active member in Women in E-Discovery and the ESI Forum.
