Instructor: Lorena Pike

Lorena Pike
Lorena Pike teaches Spanish to english Translation I for the Translation and Interpretation (Spanish/English) program. She is an English to Spanish translator specializing in law, accounting, finance, and business. She is a state certified court interpreter (Nevada and California) with a BS in accounting from the Escuela Bancaria y Comercial. She has an MA in Spanish with an emphasis on translation, technology, and Latin American culture from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her translation work focuses on legal and business documents. A frequent conference speaker in national and local translation and interpreting conferences, she also teaches at the University of California, Los Angeles Extension's Legal Interpreting program. She is the interpreting services manager at Ventura Superior Court in California.
