This course will examine the fundamental concepts, terminology and processes associated with Innovation, Clinical Research, Translational Research and healthcare. Course content will build a strong foundation of the key elements of innovation, clinical research, and healthcare technology. Examine innovation and technologies like, AI, blockchain and machine learning to interpret how they can deliver real value and speed up drug development processes and make an impact on Healthcare.
Explore case study scenarios involving patients and researchers incorporating digital technologies. Topics include an introduction to digital devices, combinational products, IOMT, and post market surveillance. Determine the key success factors of a clinical trial and how innovation can increase the quantity and quality of patients recruited for trials, enable data exchanges that are more secure, efficient and more transparent for both researchers and the general public.
