
About the Health and Wellness Coaching Program
Transform Your Career with UC San Diego’s Health & Wellness Coaching Certificate
The UC San Diego Department of Extended Studies offers an Approved Health and Wellness Coach Training & Education Program accredited by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC). Upon completion of this program, graduates are eligible to sit for the HWC Certifying Examination, paving the way to becoming a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC).
There is no in person requirement, only live online requirement.

Natiya Guin
Dr. Guin is a licensed naturopathic doctor, nationally certified health and wellness coach, and leader in holistic health advocacy; integrating lifestyle, natural, and conventional medicine to get to the root cause of illness and empower clients at the center of their care.
Taylor Colvey
Taylor was born and raised in San Diego, CA. After spending 15 years in various educational settings across Northern California as an Academic Counselor and Clinical Counselor Trainee, she developed expertise in Trauma-Informed Care practices.
Emily Marquis
Emily Marquis is an NBC-HWC Clinical Health Coach with an MA in Health & Wellness Coaching with a background in human resources. She is a professor and mentor in integrated health sciences in several NBHWC programs including MindBodyGreen, Emory University, Northwestern Health Sciences University, UC San Diego, and University of Vermont.
Nadin Benrey
Nadin is a dedicated Health and Wellness Coach with over 9 years of experience in the field. She is a bilingual professional who has not only survived cancer but has emerged with a passion for transforming the lives of healthcare patients through personalized one-on-one coaching and engaging group sessions.
