This courses teaches students how to as a coach facilitate behavior change, self discover values, resources, and strategies that are individualized and meaningful. Emphasizes that the client is the expert in navigating his/her own life, based upon personal preferences and past experiences. Teaches the student how to serve as a coach in providing the structure of the session and serve as a facilitative partner.

Instructor: Taylor Colvey

Taylor Colvey

Taylor was born and raised in San Diego, CA. After spending 15 years in various educational settings across Northern California as an Academic Counselor and Clinical Counselor Trainee, she developed expertise in Trauma-Informed Care practices. Her passion for mind-body medicine led her to become certified in Health & Wellness Coaching in 2018. Now, as a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach, Taylor specializes in helping private clients with gut-brain symptoms build resilience and reclaim their health so they can fully live out their life’s purpose. She integrates behavior change theory, positive psychology, and functional nutrition to empower individuals on their wellness journey. In addition, she is developing a course to support entrepreneurship in the health coaching field. Currently working for the University of California system, Taylor is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of board-certified coaches. She envisions a future where healthcare shifts away from dependency on conventional models, encouraging individuals to become the CEOs of their own health.
