About the Sustainable Business Practices Program
Leading organizations are becoming more aware of compliance challenges, regulations in sustainability, and opportunities afforded by public interest in climate change, environmental issues, sustainability, and “green practices.” This creates a need for educated professionals to steer their organizations in the direction of sustainable practices that make sense for their business models and goals.
This program is intended to provide students with the tools needed to help their organization create effective programs, increase efficiency, cut costs, and improve their overall sustainability. Students will learn the core principles behind environmental sustainability, explore the “business case” for sustainability, and learn strategies for measuring sustainable practices. Courses are taught by leading industry practitioners and are focused on developing immediately applicable skills.

Program Objectives
- Gain an overview of environmental sustainability concepts and how to apply them in a business context
- Learn the various policies, technologies, and financial tool that support sustainable practices

Transfer to Online MBA Program
Students who complete UC San Diego Extension's Sustainable Business Practices Certificate are eligible to receive a 10-semester credit block applied towards Antioch University's online Master of Business Administration Program. View Transfer Course Requirements.

Conditions for Admission
UC San Diego Extension programs are designed to best serve college-prepared working professionals. Although programs are open to all adult learners, where program capacity is limited, applicants with this profile will receive preference for admission.
