Speaker Erik Mitchell
Coordinator Toshi Ishihara

Erik Mitchell, PhD

The growth of information access through digital technology has had a profound impact on nearly every aspect of our lives. Over the past 30 years, our daily consumption of information has grown, and the emergence of artificial intelligence platforms is again revolutionizing how we find, absorb and interpret information around us. Libraries have changed alongside this information revolution, and we are yet again in a moment of reinvention. We will explore how this revolution is changing research, learning and our everyday use of information, and how research libraries are rapidly evolving to meet today’s and future needs.
