Wireless Communications Technologist Internship

This is a 120-hour in-person internship.

The Wireless Communications Technologist Certificate Program in collaboration with the Motorola Service Station Association offers students the opportunity to apply for an internship program. This will allow students to immediately apply their knowledge to relevant projects in the industry. Students will obtain the skills necessary to implement and integrate wireless networking communication systems across a multi-faceted global industry.

This is a 120-hour in-person internship that will require participants to diagnose, troubleshoot, discuss, and resolve wireless communication equipment.

HOW THE INTERNSHIP WORKS:

  • Apply to an internship directly with a company in your area. The list will be provided to students in the certificate program.
  • Upon acceptance, enroll in the internship course by clicking on the “Add To Cart” button below.

Prerequisites: Student should be enrolled in the Wireless Communications Technologist program and in one course.

WMSPA Internship Scholarship

The Wireless Communications Technologist (WCT) Internship Scholarship supports students pursuing careers in the wireless communications industry through UC San Diego Extended Studies. This program provides financial assistance and hands-on experience through industry internships with WMSPA member organizations.

  • Up to 4 scholarships awarded annually
  • Covers reimbursement of internship course cost
  • Requires placement with a WMSPA member organization
  • Reimbursement issued after approval & verification

  • Write a short essay describing your interest in the wireless industry

  • Register and pay for the UCSD Internship course
  • Secure internship placement with a WMSPA member organization
  • Receive reimbursement upon approval
