Introduction to Excel & Java Programming

This course introduces and expands students’ use of Excel and introduces them to Java Programming and how to write simple programs. Learning Outcomes: Excel • Understand Excel’s structures and capabilities • Create and format tables • Know how to sort and filter • Number format and paste special • Implement conditional formatting • Can use basics of visualizations • Develop intermediate level charts and graphs • Know how to use the Function Library • Know how to use Pivot Tables • Create data linkages Java Programming • Learn programming essentials such as branching, repetition, data structure, algorithms, and data modeling • Apply the rules and syntax of the Java Programming language, including objects, methods, and inheritance • Understand and apply object-oriented programming concepts • Develop testable code • Write, run, debug, and modify programs • Understand and develop algorithms
