Communicating Real World Evidence; Medical Writer Professional Development

This course examines real world evidence (RWE), and the role of the professional medical writer in this rapidly expanding area of evidence generation. Learn the basics of RWE, and how and why these studies are being increasingly recognized as important in supplementing data from randomized controlled trials. Content will explore case studies on RWE generation and its utility in providing broader insight into disease & patient management.
The course also covers best practices for, and essential components of, planning and writing RWE publications for distinct audiences, including enhanced/digital techniques to improve communication of these data in the medical literature. The final component of this course includes a medical writing professional development module and creation of a personal development plan.
