Concurrent Enrollment Application & Steps
Open Access to UC San Diego courses—earn undergraduate and graduate academic credit alongside university students.
APPLICATIONS CLOSED
Fall 2025 applications will open in September.
How to Submit an Application?
Submit your application now and take the first steps toward concurrent enrollment. Our streamlined process makes it easy to apply for classes that fit your schedule.
Step 1: Eligibility Application (must be completed every quarter)
This application will simply determine if you are eligible to participate in the Concurrent Enrollment Program. UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies will not review academic prerequisites, transcripts, credentials, etc.
Applications for Spring 2025 are now closed.
Fall 2025 applications will open on September 2nd.
Step 2: Submit EASy request
To locate the course you would like to take, please visit the Tritonlink Schedule of Classes. After you have selected your course, filling out an EASy request is your first step to getting approved and will grant you access to all online materials. Once you get access to your course in canvas.ucsd.edu, you should immediately begin participating in the course as if enrolled.
Fall 2025 EASy requests will open on September 2nd.
Specialty Processes per Department: Some academic departments have specific processes for getting an EASy request approved, beyond the initial submission. Please refer to the department web pages for approval criteria.

Step 3: Complete the Academic Integrity Tutorial
Upon submitting your first EASy request, you will automatically be enrolled in the Academic Integrity Tutorial. You can access the tutorial at canvas.ucsd.edu. If you have previously completed this tutorial, please ignore this step.
Step 4: Submit Your Vaccine Information
You will be contacted by DES Student Services (concurrent@ucsd.edu) before you submit payment with instructions on how to upload your vaccination information and comply with the UCSD Vaccine Mandate.
You do not need to submit vaccination information until you have been contacted as we cannot receive your vaccine information via email. If you receive your payment information and have yet to receive the vaccine information email, please contact us at concurrent@ucsd.edu.
Step 5: Pay for Course
This step applies to domestic students only. After approval from the academic department, Extended Studies will contact you with instructions to pay for your course through the Extended Studies website. Once you have paid, your EASy request will be approved by Extended Studies and your enrollment will be finalized. You do not need to pay for your course in order to participate and submit homework.

Additonal Information
If you were academically dismissed or disqualified, you are still eligible to take courses through Concurrent Enrollment, please first meet with your college adviser to see if Concurrent Enrollment is the best option for you. For questions regarding course transferability, please first check with your advisor and the receiving institution.
ACMS Resource Fee: A fee of $50 fee per quarter will be assessed for all students to have access to ACMS resources (e.g., Canvas, TritonEd, podcasts, on-campus computer labs, etc.). This fee is only charged one time per quarter, even if you are enrolled in multiple courses that require ACMS access.
Lab Fees: a fee of $75.00 will be assessed for each course that requires lab fees according to UC San Diego Academic Department Policy. Labs are still scheduled to meet in-person until further notice.
The Concurrent Enrollment program does not offer any discounts, and most Concurrent Enrollments do not qualify for financial assistance.
See the Concurrent Enrollment Deadlines above for exact deadline dates.
Extended Studies standard drop, refund and petition policies do not apply to students in the Concurrent Enrollment program because Concurrent Enrollment students are held to campus policies and guidelines.
Refunds will not be given for courses dropped after the refund deadline.

Concurrent students earn full academic credit and participate in courses just like matriculated UC San Diego students, and are subject to the same conditions, requirements, and standards. Unless enrolling on a non-credit basis, students may take courses either for a letter grade or pass/no pass grade (pass is a C- or better). Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory grading is intended for use for graduate level classes only.
Concurrent students may take up to 18 units per quarter. Additional units may be obtained by petition.
