This course includes two informative lectures that cover essential elements of the U.S. Constitution. Participants will review and analyze the meaning of the Constitution as it was originally formulated and developed through amendments and judicial interpretation. The materials and course assignments will prepare participants to pass the U.S. Constitution Examination. The U.S. Constitution Examination is then required at the end of the course.

This course is part of the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) California Induction Clear Credential progam and fulfills the state requirement for principles and practices of the U.S. Constitution (US). It is recommended to submit the course description and syllabus with the official transcript to the CTC. 

Note: Course attendance is asynchronous, however assignments MUST be completed by specific deadlines throughout the course to earn a passing grade. Log into the course in Canvas on the start date and refer to the syllabus for detailed information regarding individual due dates.
