At this level, participants strengthen their competency in Spanish while building considerable confidence in using the language in diverse situations. Conversation topics include sports, wellness, nature, the environment, cultural activities and entertainment. Students will learn and discuss about all these topics in the Spanish-speaking world. Students will learn subjunctive and future. Textbook chapters 12 (only half of it), 13, and 14 are covered.
Note: Recommended prerequisite: "Spanish for Communication V", or the equivalent. Requirement for the Professional Certificate in Spanish Language.

Mikolich, Kevin
Kevin Mikolich earned his M.A. in Spanish from California State University San Marcos and a B.A. in Sociology from the University of San Diego. He has a clear single subject teaching credential in the state of California and has also published research on el voseo titled, "La acomodación lingüística por hablantes del español centroamericano en el suroeste de los Estados Unidos." Kevin was also a contributor and reviewer of Alianzas (2nd Edition), an intermediate, university-level Spanish textbook. He was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Bolivia, South America, and has extensive teaching experience at both the university and K-12 levels.
