Have you ever been curious about computer programming and how to code your very own pocket-sized computer? In this exciting one-week course, we will dive into the basics of computer programming using both Python and JavaScript languages. We will then apply what we’ve learned to program our own amazing microcontrollers. This will include creating unique art, music, games, and robotics projects and then bringing them to life on your very own Microbit!

What You Will Learn

 

Students in High School: Hands-on coding with the BBC Microbit will:

  • Discuss and apply various concepts from CS including loops, functions, and variable
  • Utilize their coding skills to program their very own Microbit Microcontroller
  • Demonstrate an understanding of multiple coding languages and their features
  • Create unique projects using their developed skills in coding
