Effective Instructional Strategies for Students with ASD

EDUC-31591

Employing a variety of assessment tools and resources to allow for individual program determinations for students with ASD, this course provides knowledge and opportunities to become proficient in implementing evidence-based and multi-faceted methodologies and strategies necessary in teaching and engaging students with ASD. Focus on practical application of instructional strategies in the classroom, reflection of best practices, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families.

This course is available for open enrollment. It is part of the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing California Induction Clear Credential progam for individuals clearing an Education Specialist credential.

Notes: Prerequisites are EDUC 80020 and EDUC 31590. This class is mandatory for all candidates admitted to the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Specialized Certificate Program or Added Authorization candidates. This is the recommended as the third course in the program.
