Anchor the creative thought process and art in your life and work place. Continue the paths of learning and exploration begun in Creative Process I and II. In this personalized class, examine the roles of imagination, perception, humor, art in society and its impact, the nature of change, and the challenge of making a difference through your artwork in the community. Instruction includes projects, art videos and discussions, instruction and field trips, to enrich your experience and appreciation of art in our environment.

Course Fee: $325
Prerequisite: Creative Process II (ART-40181). Creative Process I (ART-40191) students require permission of instructor to participate.
Materials: Bring to first class: notebook, 18"x24" Strathmore drawing pad (80lb), newsprint pad, 2 graphite pencils (B and 3B or 4B), & plastic eraser. Complete materials list distributed at first class meeting.
Note: Elective course for Art and the Creative Process professional certificate.

  This learning experience is intentionally designed as a combination of in-class and web-based instruction. In-class meetings follow the published schedule. Students are also expected to engage with course content online during the published course dates.

  Haeger, France, Fine Arts instructor, artist and registered and board certified art therapist. (A.T.R.)

  France-Marie teaches Creative Process I , Creative Process II , Creative Process III , and Travel Sketching for the UC San Diego Extension Art and the Creative Process Professional Certificate .  She is a Fine Arts instructor, an artist, and a registered board certified art therapist maintaining a private practice in art therapy. She established and directed an art therapy program in Lausanne, Switzerland, taught art, art therapy and expressive arts in graduate and undergraduate programs in Switzerland & the US. She teaches Fine Arts as well as leading workshops in the creative process and related areas. She is an advisor to the Art and Creative Process Certificate Program.
