About the Creative Writing Program
IMPORTANT PROGRAM UPDATE
The Creative Writing Certificate has been officially discontinued and is no longer accepting new applications. Current certificate students will have until winter 2027 to complete their courses.
Creative writing classes will continue to be offered as shown in the matrix below. Please note that students do not need to be previously enrolled in the certificate program in order to take individual creative writing classes.
Students who are already enrolled in the certificate program will receive guidance to support a smooth path to program completion. Information regarding individual program progress can be accessed by viewing the certificate matrix in your MyExtension account.

Most classes are online asynchronous. There are a few classes that are live-online. There are no in-person sessions.
