Application Timeline
Applications for the class of 2026 will open on September 2, 2024
- The application cycle for the class of 2025-2026 will open September 2, 2024
- Applications must be submitted by PostBacCAS no later than 8:59pm PST on January 20, 2025.
- Applicants will be notified by late February regarding interviews.
- Interviews will be held primarily in March, and notifications of acceptance will be sent in April.

Support the UC San Diego Extended Studies Post-Baccalaureate Pre-Medical Program (PBPM) Gift Fund. Your donation will provide PBPM Scholarships to disadvantaged students and those with financial need. The scholarship application will focus on six areas of disadvantages and the selection process will be determined by the PBPM Admissions Committee. These scholarships will assist with reducing tuition costs and supporting our mission of increasing the number of diversified physicians nationally. Your contribution is greatly appreciated.

Personalized Advising
One-on-one advising to ensure your performance and application portfolio are as strong as possible. Each advisor is a UC San Diego School of Medicine faculty member with extensive admissions committee experience.
Foundational Coursework
Upper-division Biological Sciences courses recommended by the program advisors help you prove that you can excel in a rigorous and scientific environment.
Academic and Peer Support
Office hours with faculty, tutoring and Q & A sessions with past cohort members and/or current medical students reinforce your efforts to learn. Support and camaraderie define the cohort's culture as students live, work and play together.
Skill Building
Informational and interactive workshops help you prepare for medical school. Topics include application strategies, personal statement writing, mock MMI's, interview skills and finding the medical school that's right for you.
MCAT Preparation
In-person and online courses, as well as intensive study sessions called “bootcamps”, help you meet the demands of the MCAT.
