Social Media in the 2024 Elections

Speaker Social Media in the 2024 Elections
Coordinator Janice Stanger
Social media is used by millions of Americans to
access news and politics. Yet to date there are
no studies examining whether these behaviors
vary by subgroup. This talk examines how Latino
online political activity compares to that of white
Americans, and the role of language in Latinos’
online political engagement. Recent survey findings,
which is believed to be the largest original survey
of the online political activity of Latinos and whites,
reveal how these groups use social media in political
activities.
