Identity Theft and Fraud: The Basics and Beyond
Speaker
Eva Velasquez
Coordinator
Michael Lipman
Identity theft is more than just a stolen credit card
or hacked account; it’s an evolving threat that
touches nearly every part of our daily lives. In this
session, we will cover the building blocks of identity
crime—how it happens, what information is most
often targeted and how to recognize and respond
to misuse. We will learn how identity credentials
are used in ways we often don’t see or think about.
Participants will leave with practical tools to better
protect their identities, upgrade their cyber hygiene
and stay alert in an increasingly connected world.
