Freedom Park at Burnham Navy Pier

Speaker Laura White, M.A.
Coordinator Jeanie Scott
The USS Midway Museum and Port of San
Diego made a commitment in 2004 to develop a
public park on Navy Pier. The California Coastal
Commission approved the permit in 2023. Designs
are being finalized to create a park that will extend
from the west end of Navy Pier to the Bob Hope
Memorial. Spanning nearly ten acres, it will be the
largest veterans park on the West Coast and honor
our everyday heroes who serve our country and
preserve our freedoms.
