University Credit Programs
Would you like to study alongside University of California, San Diego bachelor’s and master’s students and take credit-bearing courses at UC San Diego or UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies? If you are an excellent student with very strong English language skills, our university credit programs may be a good study abroad option for you. Universities in many countries count UC San Diego and UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies credits towards their own degree programs. Course transferability is at the discretion of the home university.
Want to spend 3, 6, or 9 months studying abroad? University and Professional Studies (UPS) welcomes high achieving, non-matriculated international students to attend a full-time credit-bearing program of UC San Diego or UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies courses within almost all departments at UC San Diego. Customize your own schedule of classes from the thousands of classes offered each quarter.
Note: UC San Diego operates on a quarter system, with three academic quarters and two summer sessions per year. UC San Diego courses are not available through this program during the summer. Instead, students can enroll in university classes through UC San Diego Summer University Program.
