Principles of College Counseling
EDUC-40130
Assisting students and families through the college preparation and admission process has taken on even greater importance as higher education costs continue to rise. This course will give special attention to training in the college selection process while emphasizing the important issues impacting the profession. Participants will examine the fundamental concepts of setting up a college counseling office, while exploring the personal dimensions of working with families during one of their most crucial transitional experiences.
Course Information
You must register for this course with the Letter Grade Option. If you do not then you must retake the course at your own expense with the Letter Grade Option in order to be eligible for the certificate at the end of the program. Previously offered as EDUC 30130.

He is an experienced educator with an extensive background in selective college admission, counseling, teaching, and academic and non-profit leadership. Prior to founding Mercer Educational Consulting, he was an admission officer at the University of Southern California.
