Music in the EFL Classroom

Designed to provide opportunities for English learners from all levels of proficiency to learn and practice English, this TEFL certificate course instructs teachers on how to encourage students to analyze lyrics for useful vocabulary and idioms in the ESL classroom.

Emphasis is given to improving pronunciation and fluency through the use of music-based activities.

Music styles:

  • pop

  • blues

  • rock

You will learn how to increase language practice in large classrooms, with ideas on how to integrate communicative activities within a prescribed curriculum.
