Meteorites, crystals, and gemstones have held significant roles in shaping cultures throughout history. In this class, students will explore the historical and cultural significance of these natural wonders while learning to identify local gems, rocks, and meteorites. The course provides an introduction to gems and meteorites, including practical techniques for recognizing common crystals and gems.

Additionally, students will investigate the ecological importance of rocks and minerals and examine conservation efforts related to these resources. This captivating course serves as an excellent foundation for those interested in meteorites, gemstones, crystallography, mineralogy and geology.
