Textbook chapters 11-12. Includes a review of pronouns and the subjunctive, and an introduction to the future and conditional tenses. Newspaper and magazine articles, as well as film excerpts, increase students' familiarity with French culture and feed lively in-class discussions.

Instructor: Annick Gentet, MA

Annick Gentet, MA

A French native who holds graduate degrees in French language and literature and comparative literature and has been teaching in San Diego for over 10 years.

Annick Gentet teaches French for Communication I, II, III, IV, V, and VI. She grew up in France and holds graduate degrees in French language and literature and comparative literature from McGill University in Montreal and UC San Diego. She has been teaching French as a foreign language at UC San Diego and Alliance Française for more than fifteen years and previously was a lecturer on French Literature at UC San Diego. In addition to teaching, she has used her language skills to translate video games. Gentet is enthusiastic about sharing her passion for the French language and literature through interactive approaches.
