Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, students will:
- Analyze emerging HR trends, regulations, and technology’s role in shaping modern HR practices
- Explain the key functions within human resource management, including talent acquisition, performance management, and employee relations
- Evaluate and apply techniques to measure the effectiveness of HR functions and programs
- Interpret basic California and federal laws and regulations governing the employer-employee relationship
- Assess challenges and opportunities faced by today’s HR practitioners in diverse, hybrid, and technology-driven workplaces
- Examine and propose ways technology and AI can support HR decision-making while maintaining the human element
