This course will provide information for knowledge of basic skills required to perform effectively as a Career Advisor. Career advisors help focus clients’ skills, interests and values, while teaching them how to gather information about workplace options and helping them develop strategies to reach their career goals. A Career Advisor has a responsibility not only to help clients learn and grow to be successful, but also to keep learning themselves. Career Development takes into account a wide range of information from many diverse areas. The Career Advisor with current information, skilled at their role and with a great attitude has the ability to impact and make a difference in the lives of many!
