Review the subjects covered on the State of California's exam for licensed civil engineers. Topics covered include: environmental, geotechnical, and structural with construction engineering; transportation; and water resources. The course also covers examples of civil engineering problems found on the PE exam and offers pertinent testing strategies. Topic experts will participate as guest instructors.
Note: Early Enrollment in PE Civil is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED at least 2 weeks before the start of class.
This course is typically offered Winter and Summer Quarters. Classes are scheduled for Wednesday 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
Students should bring their own personal electronic devices to each class so they can access online lecture material.
The PE Civil Review and PE Seismic Review will run consecutively in summer quarter to accommodate students preparing to take both the PE Civil and PE Seismic NCEES exams in the summer exam period. Students that want to take both reviews may enroll in each class separately.
Enrollment in both courses is not required. The PE Civil reference manual must be purchased by the student. A course binder copy will be provided either electronic or printed.
