Japanese for Communication V

Covering textbook chapters 9-16. This course includes a review of previously learned kanji and introduces new ones. Emphasis is placed on the skills needed to provide reasons, modify nouns, express potentiality, convey obligation, and articulate emotional and volitional expressions. The course explores practical topics such as welcoming a new employee, engaging in office conversations, and participating in classes.
 

Note: recommended prerequisite: "Japanese for Communication IV", or the equivalent.

  Yoko Kimizuka was raised in Japan and has more than 20 years of experience teaching both   English and Japanese languages.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English literature in Japan and   a Master’s degree in TESOL, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, from San Francisco   State University.  She is certified to work as a national tour guide in Japan and has worked as a   volunteer docent in San Diego.
