Instructor: Yoko Kimizuka

Yoko Kimizuka
Yoko Kimizuka was raised in Japan and has more than 20 years of experience teaching both
 
English and Japanese languages.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree in English literature in Japan and
 
a Master’s degree in TESOL, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, from San Francisco
 
State University.  She is certified to work as a national tour guide in Japan and has worked as a
 
volunteer docent in San Diego.  She firmly believes that learning foreign languages helps broaden
 
our horizons and makes our lives more enjoyable. She is happy to be creative to help all students
 
benefit from her lessons and learn more about Japanese language and culture. In her free time she
 
enjoys origami, zumba, and arranging flowers from the garden.
