Philippe Honore
Bio
Philippe Honore is a seasoned Project Manager with more than 20 years of experience in seven countries in diverse industries. With a background in architecture, Philippe had the opportunity to work in France, the Netherlands, the Middle East, and multiple countries in Africa. He managed a portfolio of 450 cellular phone sites, such as rooftop installations and cellphone towers in 5 regions in France. As an expatriate, his responsibility ranged from training a team of 20 construction managers in Egypt to managing a project portfolio of 100 sites in Ghana, handling 47 subcontractors with limited budgets and resources.Philippe reinvented himself in 2011 by returning to school in the United States. He obtained his Green Card in 2013 and held a Director of Finance position at a Treatment Center in Florida that needed to build an efficient financial department from the ground up. Philippe moved to San Diego in March 2017, where he has been providing consulting services to local small and mid-size organizations in Business Management, specializing in Change Management and Cultural Diversity Management.
Philippe has been working as a Program Manager for AVID since 2018. This non-profit organization provides programs, products, and services to teachers in 47 states and three countries to close the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. He also has been teaching various classes at UCSD Extension and, as a certified Leadership Coach from USD, has a private practice in Hillcrest.
Philippe is PMP, CSPO, and CSM Certified and holds an MBA in International Business from Florida Atlantic University. Currently, he is a doctoral student at USD SOLES (School of Leadership and Education Sciences), concentrating his research on diversity management within boards of directors and C-Suite executives.
