Daniel Drown

Bio

Dan has provided safety and health consulting services and programs to over 50 craft breweries since 2008. He has presented day-long Brewery Safety Essentials classes and represented breweries in Cal OSHA compliance actions. He started homebrewing in 1993.

As a sole-proprietor consultant, Dan has provided environmental safety and health consulting services to a diverse global client group including Fortune 100 clients in chemical, pharmaceutical, biotech, water treatment, power generation, oil & gas, and petrochemical sectors. With a B.S. degree in Public Health and minors in Chemistry and Spanish from Utah State University, Dan earned certifications as a comprehensive practitioner from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene—Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals—Certified Safety Professional (CSP).

Prior to consulting Dan worked more than 20 years in multi-national roles in the chemical industry and was the Global Senior Manager of Environmental Health and Safety for a specialty chemical company with manufacturing plants in Asia, Europe, the U.S., and South America. During this time, he provided safety and health input to many multi-million-dollar capital projects and plant acquisitions/expansions.
