Tim Carey has spent 20+ years working in sustainability, resource conservation and recycling in the food and beverage, building materials and electronics industries. He has lead strategy development, life cycle assessment and product stewardship organizations for those industries and has experience developing and training future sustainability leaders.
Carey serves on external boards at The Sustainability Consortium, the World Resources Institute, The Closed Loop Fund and Keep America Beautiful where he gets retailer and NGO perspective on sustainable products, emerging trends and strategies that businesses and governments use to solve their most important challenges.
Carey received a bachelor's degree in geology from Oregon State University and a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Arizona. He is also a registered Professional Engineer (Civil) in California.
