Jacob Fraden has met individuals in the U.S. and the Soviet Union who served as spies or were otherwise involved in espionage activities during the Cold War. He will share stories about these individuals, offering unique insights into the hidden world of intelligence and the people who shaped it. He will also share his experience of participating in 1985 in a secret strategic brainstorming session convened at the request of President Ronald Reagan to explore ways of encouraging the Soviet Union to reduce international tensions and pursue a more cooperative relationship with the U.S.
Speaker Bio
Presenter: Jacob Fraden is an American inventor, entrepreneur, artist, and author. He was born in the Soviet Union, emigrated to the U.S., and holds more than 60 U.S. and international patents. His Handbook of Modern Sensors has served for decades as a widely used textbook and professional reference. He served as a consultant to the CIA, providing analysis and information related to the Soviet Union.
