Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Work

Speaker Professor David Arnold
Coordinator Al Shanmugan
The recent proliferation of artificial intelligence (AI) has led to widespread concern about the future of work. This lecture will discuss the history of the impact of technology on workers and consider how the rise of AI may (or may not) resemble past labordisplacing technologies. While still in its early stages of adoption, we will discuss how AI has impacted the labor market so far. Lastly, we will turn to the future and consider potential paths for how AI will ultimately shape the labor market.
