What’s on the Supreme Court’s Docket This Term?

Speaker Professor Glenn Smith
Coordinator Mark Evans
Professor Smith will again present his popular
beginning-of-term preview of cases the Supreme
Court will hear and decide in 2024-25. Among
other consequential cases, the class will take a
detailed look at disputes involving the protection
of constitutional rights in state courts, the scope of
federal firearms laws and the ability of veterans and
employees to receive compensation for injuries. With
growing questions about the Court becoming overtly
“political” — and with ethical questions swirling
around the Court and its justices — this term will be
another one to watch.
