We know there are physical, mental and emotionalbenefits to laughing. However, we tend to think weneed a reason to laugh—jokes, comedy or something“funny.” What if we don’t feel well, are dealing withsomething difficult, or just don’t laugh easily? Attimes, it may seem impossible to laugh. Luckily, laughter is contagious!
In 1995, a medical doctor in India developed anexercise program where laughter is initiated in agroup setting using playful activities and quicklybecomes real and contagious. The program hasspread to over 100 countries. In this session, we willdiscuss the benefits of laughter, learn about LaughterYoga, and be led in playful laughter exercises, without jokes or comedy!
