Osher Members Dining Around the World at SD Restaurants
Osher has been so successful in adding new members that many new and old members hardly know each other. Therefore to remedy this situation we have started a new dining group that meets at a variety of restaurants. So far it has been magical; we seem to have tapped into a need. We find people at our table whom we never knew, or had seen but didn’t know, and we come away hugging each other. One couple sat down with a pair of old friends and then agreed they wouldn’t meet anyone new that way so they split up, moved to another table that was empty, and their new group was the last to leave the restaurant.
Our email monitor, Kamesh Gupta, acted as interpreter for our Royal India menu, although Pat McCabe chose the restaurant. She promises to look for an Irish pub as a future venue. We can ask Susan Page at the Russian Restaurant Pomegranate (August 26) anything about Russian collusion as she just came back from a Russian cruise and would certainly know. Darlene Palmer has the monopoly on securing fun restaurants like the Godfather (October 28). Maybe you will get to meet Don Vito Corleone. Look for Darlene’s poster in room 128 giving particulars for each upcoming event.
If you like good food, interesting cuisine, getting to know your fellow members, and instilling camaraderie, don’t miss out on this opportunity.
